Child Abuse Prevention Conference

The Lorain Children’s Community Collaborative on Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention will hold the 4th Annual Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Conference at Lorain County Community College on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM. Topics offered will include Internet Crimes Against Children, Sex Offenders: Community Impact, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Human Trafficking, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Shaken Baby Syndrome. The Keynote Speaker is Libby Ralston, Ph.D. and the Special Guest Speaker is Lorain County Prosecutor Dennis Will. Six continuing education units/contact hours are being applied for.
